Formation Committee
Formation is the learning journey a Vincentian takes in developing the tradition, charism, and spirituality of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.
The Formation Committee’s purpose is to develop training materials to help Vincentians develop their skills and knowledge to carry out the works of the Society to help neighbours in need.
This includes creating training materials that develop and support the works of conferences and councils; the orientation of new members; and ongoing skill development for all members. Delivery methods include ‘train the trainer’ workshops to designated trainers in each region to help roll out high-priority training.
Our committee is comprised of representatives from each of the five Canadian regions who contribute to the design of training materials, ensuring the needs and nuances for their regions are met as well as a member of the National Board.
