The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul of Ottawa and the Multifaith Housing Initiative are hosting a “best ball” golf tournament on Monday, August 28,2023 to raise funds for affordable housing for Ottawa’s Aboriginal people. Individuals and teams of 4 are invited to register at a cost of $140 per person, which includes the game, cart, lunch and prizes. There will also be a tax receipt of $50 for the donation portion. Indigenous people make up 4% of Ottawa’s population but 32% of Ottawa’s homeless, according to a 2021 City of Ottawa study.
