Hello to all our fellow Vincentians across Canada,

The Atlantic Regional Council is made up of fifty-five conferences across Atlantic Canada. We have a great divide, some conferences are well-to-do and some have a hard time to keep their doors open. As always, when things get bad God provides.

In New Brunswick, we have a very active conference in Moncton. This conference has been active for three and a half years and is ready to expand its boundaries.

Little PEI has five conferences, St Paul’s in Summerside, St Francis of Assisi in Cornwall, Holy Redeemer in Charlottetown, St Pius X and St Dunstans also in Charlottetown.

In Stellarton NS, we have Our Lady of Lourdes Conference. This conference is very busy and serves a large area.

Cape Breton Island has two particular councils, because of the economy they have a hard time.

The Holy Spirit is always at work with some of the best people in Canada.

Halifax Particular Council ssvphalifax.ca represents 18 conferences serving the central region of mainland Nova Scotia. Rick Butler is president of this PC. Halifax Particular Council supports an Outreach Office (902) 422-2049 and two Special Works; Hand in Hand, a thrift store and Hope Cottage in downtown Halifax which provides free meals twice a day to those in need.

NFLD has finished showing the rest of Canada how to do an AGA. The ST Johns Particular Council under the new president Sandra Milmore, is doing wonderful work. Holy Redeemer Conference in Corner Brook three years ago had three members. They are now in the mid thirties and growing under the strong leadership of Maurice MacDonald and Jerry Rex.
