Is there anything more satisfying than a cleansing bath or shower to revive the body and soul? A moment of pleasure made challenging without bath towels! Most of us have copious amounts of bath towels at our immediate disposal. We don’t need to think twice before grabbing for one to dry our hands or face after a good wash. Yet there are many in our very communities that are afford such a simple commodity.

Members of the Basilica of Our Lady Conference, recently received a request for bath towels for those staying at the emergency and temporary shelters in Guelph, Ontario.

This is especially true of our neighbours in need staying at the emergency and temporary shelters. In response to this request the city’s Conferences and the students of St James, and Bishop Macdonell High Schools collected over 1,500 towels over a span of 4 -5 weeks. All the towels were gratefully accepted by the folks at the shelters. A group effort that resulted in an amazing success.
