The Advocacy Committee continues to support a Guaranteed Basic Income plan for Canada. Many articles and information have been shared in previous newsletters. Please review these on the news section of the SSVP national website.  We encourage you to learn more, share information at SSVP meetings and make your voice heard. Basic Income would help fulfill our core mandate to alleviate poverty in all its forms.

The SSVP is not alone in this endeavor and partnering with like-minded organizations increases visibility. We encourage you to visit the following organizations’ websites to learn more and join their mailing lists.

There are many more, but these groups are actively advocating for a Basis Income in Canada

Numbers are a powerful influence, the more members, the stronger our voices become. The success of the PEI demonstration Guaranteed Basic Income (BIG) project could become more probable if all voices were joined across the country.
