To all twinning conferences and councils,

Twinning funds have been sent on February 22, 2019 to the following countries: Antigua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guatemala, India, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Peru, Sri Lanka, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda, and on February 26 to the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Transfer of twinning funds to Haiti is suspended at this time, due to governance issues at the National Council of Haiti, and other control and communication problems with some twinning partners. Council General International, with the support of SSVP Canada and USA, has taken actions to resolve this situation. In addition to that, the socio-political troubles in Haiti are generating great instability.

You will be advised once correctives measures have been taken, allowing the transfer of funds to Haiti.
